Chocolate.
Tell me what you think about chocolate.
Some of the images that I get about chocolate is romance or yummy.
But also some negative images like fat or acne chocolate
has been associated with lots of things over the years.
On the other hand recently, it seems to be getting associated with nice healthy things.
They say dark chocolate has good things in it called antioxidants.
They can help our immune system and reduce inflammation.
Inflammation is a difficult word and it's kind of hard to define here.
Chocolate also contains iron and magnesium
and some other minerals that are good for our health.
So some people are starting to eat chocolate regularly.
In fact, I know a guy who has chocolate every day for breakfast
and a lot of people are worried about getting fat.
So they're getting unsweetened chocolate.
What can you do with chocolate? Well, you can make chocolate bars
and you can have chocolate chip cookies,
but some people are getting a little bit more creative.
I read about a recipe for a chocolate avocado mousse.
Wow, you get the avocado and cocoa powder and honey
and you whip it together until it's smooth and creamy.
Sounds pretty yummy.
Another strange one I heard is the chocolate chia pudding, chia seeds.
I don't even know where to buy those.
But if you can get chia seeds and a little bit of cocoa powder and some almond milk,
you can mix it together and make your chocolate chia pudding.
I think that would be great.
There's other strange things and if you go to Mexico they have a kind of unsweetened sauce
called mole sauce, which is made with chocolate.
I've never had it, but I'd really like to try it someday.
How about you? Do you have any great chocolate recipes?
