"Submarines.
What do you know about submarines? Well, I can tell you, I don't know very much.
Submarines are boats that go underwater.
Submarines are almost, well, mostly they belong to the military after all.
How many people want a boat that goes under water? I want my boat to be above water where I can breathe and stay relatively safe.
Being on land is perhaps even safer, but being above the water at least is ok.
Underwater is kind of risky and dangerous, I think.
And that fear was borne out with one of the private submarines.
Recently in the news, there was a submarine that took people down to look at the Titanic wreck and sadly, tragically on the way down, the submarine imploded, killing all the occupants.
I'm not sure why it imploded, but there was some talk in the news that the company that made, it went a little bit on the cheap and didn't make it as strong or as, as well made as it could be in order to save money.
So there you go with one thing, submarines have to be really, really well made, they can't leak.
There's tremendous pressure underwater.
The deeper you go, the more the pressure.
And if that pressure breaks the submarine, you're in big trouble.
Now, on the other hand, it's kind of cool going down there after all, there's that book by Jules Verne, 20,000 leagues under the sea, you can see a whole new world or can you underwater is tremendously dark and the lights that you shine out can only penetrate very so far.
You can't see 42 kilometers like you can in the air up on ground, you can only see.
Well, I don't know exactly how far, but perhaps 10, 20 maybe 30 m if, if you have a very powerful light and at best that's gonna be murky.
So you can't see very well.
But there are some really cool creatures under underwater.
I'd like to go underwater once to see the cool creatures, but it just sounds a bit too dangerous.
How about you? If you had a chance, would you ride in a submarine?"
